Special lecture at the Center
The Center for School Education Research, which serves as a common educational research center within the campus for all students of the University, aims to perform comprehensive and integrated research on the fundamental concepts of new qualities and competencies of teachers as professionals, and to develop superior methods for the cultivation and training of versatile teachers.
Located next to attached facilities in the Yamakuni area (Yamakuni campus), the Center pursues educational research to collect and analyze information on the practice of school education, and to study educational methods that support practical teaching through the use of new media. Therefore, the Center focuses on the following three research fields that comprise seven sections: the Field of School Problem Solutions (Learning Topics Development Section and Child Development Support Section); the Field of Information and Media Education (Teaching-Learning Systems Development Section, Information and Media Environment Section, and Communications Science Section); and the Field of Practical Teaching Support (Teacher Development Section and Practical Teaching Competence Development Section).
In addition, the Center operates a Counseling Room to support a variety of activities for problem-solving. This is a friendly space in which anyone can receive informal advice concerning school-related problems, while emphasizing the connections between teaching staff, inside and outside experts, and specialized institutions.
