Hyogo University of Teacher Education:International House Regulations

(Establishment)Article 1.
International House(hereafter referred to as "the House")has been established by Hyogo University of Teacher Education ("the University")
(Purposes)Article 2.
The House provides overseas students and foreign researchers("overseas students, etc.")with living accommodation, and serves as a venue for international exchange activities that contribute to the promotion of international communication in the fields of education, academic studies, and culture.
(Activities)Article 3.
To accomplish the purposes set out in the above article, the House undertakes the following activities:
  1. expansion of and cooperation in international academic exchange activities;
  2. promotion of and cooperation in international exchange activities in the fields of education, culture, and sports;
  3. the provision of guidance and assistance to overseas students, etc.
    on Japanese culture, customs, and life-style;
  4. enhancement of the living environment of overseas students, etc.;
  5. other matters related to the promotion of international exchange at the University.
(Director of International House)Article 4.
  1. A Director of International House("the Director")shall be appointed to supervise the administration of the House.
  2. A Vice-President appointed by the President shall be the Director.
(Consultant Advisor)Article 5.
  1. A Consultant Advisor of International House("the Consultant Advisor") shall be appointed to provide guidance and assistance concerning daily problems faced by overseas students, etc. residing in the House.
  2. The Consultant Advisor shall be appointed by the President from among the professors or associate professors of the University.
  3. The term of office of the Consultant Advisor shall be 2 years. The same person may be appointed more than once.
(The committee for Deliberations) Article 6.
The Student Affair Committee (the Committee, hereafter) shall discuss and deliberate important matters concerning the administration of the House.
(Clerical work)Article 7.
Clerical work related to the House is to be carried out by the student Affairs Division.
(Detailed rules)Article 8.
Apart from the provisions contained in these regulations, rules necessary for the management and use of the House are prescribed elsewhere.
